Skaneateles Antique and Classic Boat Show

Sparkling clean water, gleaming classic mahogany boats, beautifully restored antique wooden boats, live music filling the air, a feeling of yesteryear....join us for the Skaneateles Antique and Classic Boat Show's 19th year in Skaneateles. The Skaneateles Antique Boat show runs the last weekend in July.

Dicken's Christmas

Step back in time and enjoy the holidays the old-fashioned way with Dickens Christmas, as Skaneateles Area Businesses give a gift to the public for their continued support throughout the year. Free horse and wagon rides around the village leaving, caroling, and other special events around the village. Dicken's Christmas runs Saturdays and Sunday between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

John D. Barrow Art Gallery

The John D. Barrow Art Gallery is a red brick building at the north end of Skaneateles Lake located at 49 East Genesee Street. Designed and built by John Dodgson Barrow to properly display his paintings. The gallery was given in trust to the Skaneateles Library Association for the Skaneateles Community with a restriction that only Barrow paintings are to be exhibited. Art critics have written of the “exquisite effects of light and shade” and “the careful study of nature” in Barrow’s paintings.

Skaneateles Community Band

Founded in 1983 by the late Howard Kelley and his wife Gayle, the Skaneateles Community Band continues to provide summer concerts in the park for Skaneateles residents and visitors. Come and enjoy Americana at its best -- an old fashion concert in the park on the lake while relaxing to a variety of beautiful music!

Skaneateles Historical Society

A nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the history of Skaneateles, the Skaneateles Historical Society conducts and encourages historical research and collects, preserves, and exhibits historical material in connection with the Town and Village.

Shotwell Memorial Park on W Genesee St, Skaneateles NY

"One of the most beautiful war memorials in the country," It has a rich history behind it. The property where the Park is located was originally owned by John Briggs, a Revolutionary War soldier who moved to Skaneateles in 1800 and built a tavern on the site in 1806.

Skaneateles Festival

Since 1980, the Skaneateles Festival has brought world-class musicians to this charming lakeside community for four weeks of chamber music, chamber orchestra and children's concerts in the late summer. The informal setting, innovative programming and community involvement make this an especially nurturing spot for performers who are eager to return again and again, and who are warmly embraced (and fed and housed) by the Festival audience. And the listeners, in turn, are richly rewarded by breathtaking, one-time-only performances by ensembles which have just been formed this week in this magical place.
